Wonderful French Folies-Bergere beaded headpiece

The Folies-Bergere was the most famous cabaret in Paris. It opened in 1869 and was a spectacular show featuring ballet, operetta,comedy, circus and of course scantily clad women who wore pieces like this as part of their magnificent and racy stage costumes. The base of this handmade headpiece looks to be Edwardian brocade and the beading is intricate and varied so I would guess that it was made at some point in the late teens or early 1920s. A talking point for sure!
